Wedding Videographer in Kilkenny: Questions to Ask Before Booking

Booking a wedding videographer can seem straightforward until you start comparing options. Different suppliers offer different levels of coverage, editing styles, and delivery formats. Prices alone rarely tell you whether a package is suitable.

If you are looking for a wedding videographer in Kilkenny, the best starting point is to decide what you want to remember about your day. From there, you can ask the right questions and compare suppliers fairly.

O’Neill Wedding Videos is based in Wexford Town and covers Kilkenny and the wider South East. Its wedding packages and service information provide a starting point for couples planning their coverage.

1. What Style of Wedding Film Do You Prefer?

Watch the videographer's previous work before discussing the package. Pay attention to whether the films feel natural or heavily directed.

A documentary approach records events as they happen. It can be particularly appealing to couples who want the day to unfold without frequent interruptions for the camera.

Look at the editing too. Is the dialogue easy to hear? Do the shots hold long enough for moments to register? Does the film give the ceremony and speeches appropriate attention?

A short promotional video can show the general style, but a longer example helps you understand what you will receive.

2. What Do the Wedding Videographer Packages Include?

The package description should explain the coverage and finished deliverables.

O’Neill Wedding Videos lists three options: Essential, Premium, and Deluxe.

The Essential package includes bridal preparations, ceremony coverage, greetings and the photoshoot, speeches before the meal, and a wedding film with highlights on USB and digital delivery.

Premium adds full speeches, 15 minutes of dancing, a four-minute highlights film, a documentary film, and a content reel. Deluxe includes full ceremony coverage, full speeches, dancing until the stated cut-off, a full documentary edit and the listed film deliverables.

You can review the wedding package details before deciding which level of coverage is appropriate.

Do not assume every supplier uses the same package names or inclusions. Ask for clarification if an important moment is not mentioned.

3. Will the Videographer Cover Your Kilkenny Venue?

Share the venue name, date and timetable when making your enquiry. If you are planning photographs at another location or moving between ceremony and reception venues, include those details.

O’Neill Wedding Videos covers Kilkenny as part of its South East service area. Availability should still be confirmed for your chosen date.

Ask whether the venue has any restrictions on filming. Some ceremonies have specific rules about where a camera can be positioned, and it is better to know this before the day.

4. How Will the Ceremony and Speeches Sound?

Picture quality is important, but audio deserves equal attention.

Your vows, readings, and speeches may be the parts of the film you most want to hear again. Ask how sound is recorded and whether the package includes the full speeches or an edited selection.

If there are readings from family members or a planned performance during the reception, tell the videographer in advance. That information can help with preparation.

5. When Will You Receive the Finished Film?

Ask about delivery times, the number of finished edits, and the formats supplied.

A highlights film may be convenient for sharing, while a longer documentary edit preserves more of the day. If you prefer to keep a USB copy as well as digital access, check that both are included.

O’Neill Wedding Videos lists USB and digital delivery within its wedding packages. Confirm the current turnaround and delivery arrangements directly before booking.

6. What Should You Confirm Before Paying a Deposit?

Before committing, make sure you understand the booking fee, payment schedule and cancellation terms.

You should also know what happens if your wedding date or venue changes. Keep all agreed package details in writing so there is no confusion later.

If you are comparing multiple videographers, write down the differences between their offers. It will be easier to make a decision when you can compare coverage and deliverables side by side.
